One of our portable vises, the Yost Vises COV-3 3-inch Clamp-On Vise, is made from 30,000 PSI Gray Iron Castings. It has a plated steel screw and handle, as well as steel double guide rods. This vise can clamp up to 3/8 inch depth pipes. Its technical specifications include a jaw width of 3" (7.62 cm), a jaw opening of 2.5" (6.35 cm), and a throat depth of 1.625" (4.1275 cm).

Using this vise is easy. Securely mount it to your workbench and ensure the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the handle counterclockwise. Place the item between the serrated jaws and close the vise by turning the handle clockwise until the item is snug. Do not over tighten as it may damage the item or the vise. To release the item, turn the screw handle counterclockwise when you're finished working on it.
